I feel that auto tuning, miming, playing to backing tracks, having 10 plus songwriters on a simple pop song is the audio equivalent of this. If most people knew that their fav singer has never sung a live note in their life or had anything to do with the creation of "their" hit song.Would it affect the music sales? No it doesn't. I feel we are seeing the equivalent of the destruction of human,skilled performances now in art. Audio first, but we can now do it visually. Enough people truly dont care about the method, and only the product so why would art be different? I dislike ai art but where is it going to go? People cant feel good watching someone miming for hundreds of dollars. But they do! They dont care how it's performed, just that it exists. Art is doomed to go the same way eventually. Which sucks imo.
