It is so scary listening to the ignorance of these guys celebrating AI.
Like "yeah, there is going to be some disruption and people are going to loose their job. But they can earn money so easy". Sorry. But are these guys completely impervious to what is going to happen?
First of all, when people lose their job they are not going to buy anything but food. So there go 99% of all the brilliant ideas these guys can come up with. All their AI services will have absolutely no value or people will not buy them because they they got other priorities. And people will be homeless on mass, because they cannot pay rent. What are they going to do? Make an AI to generate money for them? Based on what? Servicing the other 99% of the population that is also unemployed? Not going to happen.
And next is the general IQ and creativity of the population. Studies have already shown decreasing IQ in children, and decreasing creativity in adults using AI on a regular basis. So we are now in a situation where we as a species make ourselves less intelligent and less creative. How do these geniuses think that will end? It is so depressing to see.
