More efficient is better in my opinion. If an AI can do a better job at lower cost compared to a human why not choose the AI? I mean it would be lowering costs increasing profit margins which is what companies are all out and there is nothing wrong with that. I think the only problem would be the generation or two of transition as we go from labor jobs to more creative jobs. Computers as they stand now are great for logic and problem solving, but I have yet to see (with my minimal exposure to any such things that may exists excuse my ignorance) a computer that solves visual puzzles with ease. Working as a team of AI and Humans there is so much more we both together could accomplish. Why not do that, why not take the next step? No reason to stop something that brings a lot to the table and yes some will be hard to deal with but lets face it our economy in America and only speaking for America and not any other country, is bad without AI. I say lets have AI do the number crunching and not let our politicians keep jerking us around as it would only serve as another check and balance politically.
