Artificial intelligence is a creation of man and therefore cannot truly be more intelligent than man. Sure a computer may be able to absorb information more rapidly and compute that information faster and more accurately than man can, a machine still follows a set code. It is pre-determined, and therefore cannot be truly "creative".
I believe that artificial intelligence will advance along side humans and eventually will allow the human race to become a species that continuously advances. All our needs will be taken care of by them, allowing us do do whatever we want, and advance to the point of essentially becoming immortal, as a species anyway.
