It would be too hard to program a robot to drive and respond to things like a human would. I would have to have very sensitive sensors and see objects in the way, fires, earthquakes, etc. And would cost a lot of money to make. But go ahead and try. Only way it might work is if everyone else has them and they program the cars to respond to signals that other cars make.
