Yes. Yes I believe it is unethical to ban artificial intelligence, but not because you are hindering ‘progress’. We can only later decide if something was progress or not. A ban is unethical because of the possibilities to help people getting what is expected to be good (a longer and more pleasurable life through better healthcare and choosing your own activities instead of being forced into a job).
But now I’ve written all this down I think the argument in the video was pretty similar.
