Automation is supposed to be a good thing. The idea of these jobs being replaced is supposed to be a good thing. We as a society can already far outproduce what we need. 1/3 of food produced for example is already thrown out. We can make in 10 minutes what used to take us 10 hours. The theory was that we no longer need to devote all that time to menial tasks. It should have freed up everyone's day to have far more time off. We were supposed to be on a 3 or 4 day week by now.
Sadly the greed of a very small few keeps this future from us all.
