some versions of a.i. driving have run red lights and misunderstood bike lanes. "google car "versions have not had those problems. they have logged milions of miles s without doing that . they have possibly caused 1 accident in millions of miles - it is currenty still under review. the biggest hurdle has not been lights but hand signals from human traffic directors. and like humans -sometimes heavy rains.
as for pizza delivery- you pay on-line or on the phone and the box with your pizza unlocks only at your adress with a text code. for merchandise there are text confirmation systems too. though deliverry trucks may carry a person to run into or up to buildings for a while. still that will pay less than "drivers". as for loading trucks - that is automatable. they have robotic forklift systems available already.
