UBI might not be the best solution to wide spread automation and unemployment, but I like that people are considering how we might deal with a large scale unemployable population. Automation is one of those slow issues that need to be dealt with before it becomes prevalent. I don't know what the solution should be, but it's obvious our current economic and social system would not be sustainable once we see greater than 20% unemployment.
