Okay let me break it down for you folks real simple-like: if a webcam finds it difficult to detect, for example, dark skintones, then the functionality of the webcam is biased towards dark-skin users, because it performs poorly due to their appearance. She's not saying this is a result of racism on the part of programmers, or that webcams are racists, its just an unfortunate by-product of the technology and she's working to correct it. Facial recognition is a powerful tool with a wide application from privacy to security to entertainment, this isn't some SJW nonsense. Jeez.
