I have 8 YOE with 2 FAANGs and 1 unicorn. I'm more than able to do the job. And if we were just talking about putting in the hours for LC or maybe system design, then I'd somewhat agree with you, but the problem is the interviews have now expanded to these other criteria like take home assessments, live async assessments, ai assisted assessments, solve one of their bugs, debug some codebase, etc. There is no prep for that.
