If you use Opus for silly chats sure. But you should not say hello to AI. No matter how many tokens it uses it is pointless and unnecessary. And when you use Opus the result is just better. Especially using Code. So it is worth the extra tokens, it takes the same amount of tokens and more time to get decent results in ChatGPT. And even then they are not as thorough and efficient as with Claude. But also for general use, using Sonnet, less hallucinations, no gaslighting, no chasing your tail like ChatGPT. So yeah. Totally worth it.
