Wondering about this one too. Our mid+ are using it in a balanced fashion and are more productive. Juniors are chaos though. We interview a lot of juniors with big projects they can’t talk about in detail. Most of them were AI slop-pilled. The juniors we do hire know some basics of software dev (e.g., git, http, crud, async), AWS (e.g., cloudwatch, s3, lambda), and are comfortable with using and learning python & typescript. They don’t have to be pros or anything just functional and eager to learn more. AI tooling overview is in our on boarding and they’re usually productive and have appropriate ownership in two weeks or less.
