What a childish question. EVERYTHING has potential to cause harm, from the WATER you drink all the way up to nuclear power plants. That doesn't mean humanity stops using it, even if it was possible to prevent it (which obviously isn't).
AI exists, it's not an IF anymore, it's just a HOW and WHO now. The IF isn't a possibility.
