Their sense of what constitutes reality will be significantly different as it will include the whole digital realm. As AI develops people will experience entertainment from a participant view rather than an external watcher. Careers as yet not envisioned will develop just as in the Fifties people would not have anticipated many jobs people have now that are considered typical. Some will become so embedded in that digital world they may have trouble navigating the physical world, something we see some of now but future immersive computer worlds will magnify that trend. I often observe some drivers driving their cars as if they were playing a game rather than piloting a heavy vehicle in the material world. For some, not by any means all, that confusion will grow. Still, I remain optimistic about our future.
