I don't understand why everyone feels pressured to frame this as "They can get hacked and leaked" as if I trust the ones who collect it in the first place.
Online tracking **is a thing** I'm neither comfortable with private companies like Google, Amazon or Meta tracking my online activity nor the government itself in this day and age. This is awful regardless of them being hacked and our online identities, documents, biometrics and activities being leaked.
Identity-based advertising is already harming us and accelerating the wealth transfer of K-Shaped economy.
The US federal government has already committed many illegal actions against Americans (citizen and non-citizen alike).
