yes, ai can absolutely help regular people, but the direction it takes depends more on incentives, regulation, and access than on the technology itself. the same systems being used for automation and cost-cutting are also already accelerating drug discovery, improving medical imaging, and helping researchers explore physics problems faster than before. whether those benefits reach everyday people at scale will come down to how they’re deployed, not whether they’re possible.
