‘How good it’s getting’ My guy there is someone in this very post just copying and pasting everything from ChatGPT. Everyone can clock it off the bat. In one year all OpenAI, with its infinite access to resources, has managed to accomplish is getting rid of italics and emojis.  But the cadence is exactly where it was one year ago. The logic and consistency is all over the map. It’s a collection of words that never successfully manage to build to anything. Claude Opus, easily considered the strongest writing model, isn’t much better. It may not have CGPT’s iconic ticks but anything longer than a paragraph and people can still clock it as an LLM. The only thing that’s scary about AI/LLMs is how willing, even eager, people are to project all their deepest dreams and desires onto these things even if it means having to make a downright concerted effort to ignore the far more mundane reality staring them in the face.
