Machines don’t have creativity. They simply replicate. AI is perfectly fine. I’m a graphic designer, have been since before Apple made the Macintosh. If I had a ten bucks every time someone told me I was going away, I’d be worth more than Elon Musk. First I was told when the Mac came out designers/artists were doomed. I laughed, and the exact opposite happened. The work got easier, more work became available and could be done faster. People who worked stat cameras and did layout jumped into design. This is the same thing. I use AI every single day. I automate boring shit I don’t want to do - because believe it or not a majority of my day isn’t design, it’s paperwork. Meetings. Bullshit. I can actually design again, and use AI as something to bounce ideas against. It’s made me a lot more productive. Which is good because work has exploded, and 5 years ago I would live there to get it done at current workload. Not to mention the permeation of AI into tools like photoshop. I don’t have to take hours to key out models, especially hair. Now I just click a button and maybe slightly adjust the output. It’s fantastic. Finally, there are a lot of people that have great creative ideas and simply cannot ideate it. With AI, they can.
