I think these tools dazzle a lot of new users who then overestimate how good they are. It can take a couple of weeks or even months for reality to set in - when the app they have been vibe coding at a rapid pace starts behaving oddly and every new change seems to break three existing features as the code has become a spaghettified mess… These AI tools have been moving so fast software teams have not had time to properly gauge their effectiveness and how to integrate them with a workflow that builds stable, technical debt free products in the long term. Eliminating junior positions is a knee-jerk overreaction and a mistake.
