Not sure about what the above user means by "taken away", but AI is likely to become significantly more inaccessible in the near future. For about $200 worth of Claude usage, it likely costs Anthropic around $2000 in compute (can go up to $5000). What this means is they are heavily subsidizing our usage (close to 10x on average), and this business model is not sustainable. When they raise the prices - which they inevitably have to - that's when shit is going to hit the fan. We are going to see real assessments by companies about whether it makes sense to keep a human + AI or just AI with fewer or more productive employees. Non-working people or those that don't have significant income will not be able to use AI to its full capacity.
