AI has dramatically changed my working style recently and I won’t say that everyone is pretending.  I am a Staff engineer and know how most designs work. I’m trying a new coding style in which I ask Claude to read my design and then implement some portion of it. It’s working great so far. It writes mediocre code that I can iterate through more prompts to refactor it and improve quality.  I spend most of the day giving prompts, reviewing claude code and refactoring until it’s PR worthy. I see myself 2x times faster and have a PR up almost every second day with good code quality.
