You're throwing AI and Brave under the bus. AI Was just used to QUERY what possible alternatives to Google might exist. Nobody tells me what to do but the results of the query prompted me to TEST Brave search for myself. In my opinion the search results were better than I had previously experienced but my experience should only cause you to do your own testing. My opinion is that your concern about Brave is a bit Paranoid and you need to prove it to yourself.
