I think the important part for AI is the distinction that gets drawn around good automation implementation and bad and how you have to shape institutional structures to incentivize the good and limit the bad. AI could definitely reduce the work week… if we have the economic and political power balance necessary to ensure that. But if not it could just as easily create every dystopian cyberpunk nightmare you’ve ever seen.
