Mozilla sold out years ago. Not surprising in the least. Anyone who is paying attention has probably jumped ship to another browser a long time ago, even before AI was even an issue. Just like every other user-friendly startup, they started out being all about delivering on user experience and nothing else. Just like Skype, Discord, or even Google and Microsoft did. And once they captured their audience, they sold out and now its just looking for ways to generate profit, user experience be damned. Its the most common business trajectory out there. Get big by being really good to users, then sell the company out and bend your userbase over, make bank, then sell the company off to some other megacorporation for a billion dollars. Discord is also on the chopping block. Won't be much longer now before we have to find yet another messaging platform because just like all the others they clearly sold out, too.
