Now don't get me wrong, Google is evil, but so is every other giant tech company out there. Google is just a different flavor of evil for lack of better terms. Google is not helmed by crazy boisterous people that make sure you know just how evil their giant corporations are, but still does some pretty nasty things all the same. Stopping support for gen 1 and Gen 2 of nest devices, but still collecting data as they report home is an evil thing. Growing out of a silly motto when it became less of a cool thing and more of a cringe thing is reasonable. Donating money to the government so that you get favorable treatment is evil, but so did every other tech Giant company out there, and much of a current government sadly has become pay to play. So while Google doesn't have any real morals in this case, I don't know that I necessarily call that one evil either. AI is too far out there for any real discussion on what it can and can't do long-term. The antitrust lawsuits are kind of a mixed bag, some of them are reasonable and show just how evil Google can be, while other antitrust lawsuits seem to be nothing more than political theater on the part of the government. So you can't really use the fact that Google has been involved in antitrust lawsuits as a definition of them being evil. We have to weigh each of the antitrust lawsuits, and it is specific ones that show that Google is evil, not just that they've had them as a whole. As I said in the beginning of my post, many of Google's actions are morally bankrupt, and evil. However, this particular meme generalizes too many things as reasons. Why Google is evil to actually show convincing arguments of what Google has done that makes them evil. If you really want to show people just how brutal and evil Google could be, you really need to pick specific examples in order to have a far more convincing argument.
