It certainly could build the need for more AI to make up the productivity gaps of having fewer people. Whether it can, though, is the hard part. IME, the time effort for G&A ops teams to have their processes automated (even without AI) is already hard when the teams are bigger, and they’d be lucky if their processes are even efficient and utilizing the tools they already have available in the first place. Now with layoffs, when everyone is doing 2-3 roles each, who has the time to automate with AI when they’re just trying to stay afloat?
