I suspect investors will desperately \*want\* there to be a "next big thing" and may try to prop something up like AR/VR. But whether or not we get another major bubble depends on if some new thing shows promise. If nothing emerges, then tech itself may enter maintenance mode.
AI will still be useful if the bubble bursts, but it may get a lot more expensive and be used more sparingly when companies have to actually turn profit. People may pay $20 a month to generate silly images or videos, but will they keep paying if it becomes $50 a month? $100 a month?
