You know it, I know it, so Anthropic/OpenAI knows it too - you just have to look at coding agents from a few years ago to see the progress.
Now that it *can* code, the focus is probably on refining its ability to operate without a human driver. Like, there has to be someone at some AI corp that is thinking the exact same thing as you, and also trying to figure out how to fix it.
