I’m just gonna tell it to you straight, if AI progresses like it’s projected too even the senior developers won’t be needed. I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that my kids probably won’t have jobs at all. I’m not saying this is a good thing, it’s just how things are looking. Everyday I see more praise from “senior devs” about it and less posts saying it sucks and doesn’t do anything. Once AGI is achieved the ball will never stop rolling and then no job is safe unless it requires a specific human aspect, and even that I’m not certain of. It’s a very hectic transitional period for humanity but it’s very interesting to experience it.
