It may be because of the way ChatGPT feels like talking to a person as opposed to search engines, which do not.
For example, while therapy resources have always been available on search engines, people weren’t necessarily using Google or Yahoo for actual therapy. People are using ChatGPT for actual therapy because it can feel like talking to a real person, a friend even, for some.
