The pinnacle of AI is still pretty impressive. The information o3 could search and find was genuinely transformative. The missing piece wasn't really "more" from the high end of the models, it was filling in the gaps. Openai might have better models and agents that we can't see and gpt-5 is really just a cost saving model. Either way, I fully expect Google's next release to be the shift. They know how to train out the knowledge gaps, they have a plan for it, I imagine they start pulling away from the pack from gemini 3.0 onward
