As we continue to choose the easier , less scary path the harder, more scary path becomes even more harder and even more scarier because our skills diminish from lack of practice. Vicious cycle same as any substance addict becomes familiar with. The research is clear and more isn't needed- we need social interaction. We need shared experiences with other vulnerable, flesh and blood organisms. We are a social species. It's why people get pets and have combatted loneliness with animals for millennia.
