For folks already developing with AI, to me it still seems like there’s corrections to be made among other things. It’s not a perfect programmer and neither are real life programmers, but that is where my skepticism lies.
To a commenter’s point, yes prompting programming will be the function prob of new grads. But there’s still a need to have an intelligent architect who knows how to make all the code work. Will be interesting who gets those jobs cause you can’t schmooze or BS that job.
