I don't get why so many people are missing the point here. If one company stops producing an alternative, the other company pushes their model getting more greedy and eventually creating a monopoly. Imagine OpenAI was the only company with an active AI model for everyone to access. Imagine the amount of data they alone hoard, at any given point they are a breach away from falling in the wrong hands. The advancement of AI should come with multiple choices for the customer.
