It's gonna be absolutely hilarious, tragic, but still hillarious, watching companies shot themselves in each leg with a shotgun, chasing this AI fantasy, and ending up with no legs to stand up. They gonna gut their workforce in the name of "efficiencey" and pat themselves on the back for a good job, and then go suprised pikachu face, when the entire operation collapses under it's own weight. All they can do is bleeding out, proudly. Yes, AI can do some things, but it also only does some things well, while most other things are not all that good. Like It can sift through massive amounts of data and rapidly analyze it. It can remix human-made content into AI sloop. It can even fake coding competency enough to impress a clueless executive. But lets not let stop smelling our own farts, ChatGPT and it's competitors are not software engineers. They are fancy knitting machines, outputting a pattern. Sure, the code it writes looks right, and might even run, but it will collapse under any serious scrutinty. It lacks context, intuation, and any sense of architecutre, or long-term thinking. Whats worse is that the same people that are cheering this on, are the same people who dont understand the job, and think of "done on a computer" as can be automated, as if human creativity, critical thinking, collboration, and problem-solving as just made up words, and whats funnier is that AI would be better to replace those in charge, anyway, much more to save there. The truth isnt that anyone that works on a computer is finishes. It's that companies are being shortsighted, and not understanding what their workforce does and provides, and are about to destroy themselves in the dumbest way possible, by replacing all their thinkers with machines that can't.
