The phrasing style I'll give you, but why is everyone suddenly acting like em dashes didn't exist before ChatGPT? I'm an editor -- I've edited novels, textbooks, and a ton of internet articles. That also involves lots of emailing and texting -- I spend a lot of time writing and reading what other people write. Em dashes were never rare, and they are a very useful piece of punctuation. Why should they be edited out? Just because ChatGPT also uses them? You can take my em dashes out of my cold, dead (not unalive) hands.
