I work as a cloud architect and totally agree with you.
I see a lot of "vibe coders" at our organization being highly praised for all these uses of AI they're coming up with. But that's largely because the people doing the praising don't know any better.
The thing people don't realize is, none of this stuff is individual. I asked at the last demo of the AI platform we've just bought, how is it secured? Who has access to the data given to it?
Crickets. Nobody could even tell me where it was hosted.
