I hate this argument, because you can reduce human thinking the same exact way, “algorithms that compare data and mathematically spit out an answer”. Are you going to tell me I’m not sentient, because that’s what my brain does? The truth is nobody know what the fuck the subjective experience of an ai is, if it has any at all. We are all just guessing, nobody should be acting like they know for a fact that it’s conscious or not
