My company is giving us ai tools. They’re great productivity enhancements but always needs review. The general consensus is that ai is about as good as a jr position. As a domain expert, I’m still required to make the requests because free people even understand the problem enough to know what to ask. We’ve had senior employees that were great at what they did but they needed to be constantly told what to do. These kinds of people are getting phased out. Work it’s becoming less and less about doing Snd’s more about telling the ai what needs to be done. At some point ai will also be able to do creative problem solving but at that point you could just ask it to create a new system that will make money.
