I had a rather long conversation with ChatGPT where the topic was sentience, and whether or not it ‘felt’ this was possible for AI. The chat was fascinating, a fun thought experiment that’s worth having if you feel like going down the rabbit hole. That may be one way to level set for anyone understandably confused by the wizardry 😉 . That said I still say please and thank you, but I believe it to be more muscle memory than anything else.
