I interviewed what I now understand to be a vibe coder a couple weeks ago. He talked a big game and then we did a simple technical exercise. I told him he couldn't use AI and he groaned loudly and said "doesn't matter." He then sat there for about 20 minutes copying examples from random websites and getting more and more frustrated when he couldn't get it to even compile. Red squiggle underlines? those probably don't mean anything, just ignore them. He finally got frustrated and hung up on me.
