Good question! I have a relatively high pain tolerance, and I'm not going to lie to you it hurt in a manner similar to early labor. I know what that feels like since I went into labor before my scheduled c-section date with my first child. I'd take the pain over all of the horrible fibroid side effects any day, though. I plan to request sedation/anesthesia of some sort when it's time for reinsertion and would recommend that others do the same. The insertion process itself lasted less than 10 minutes from start to finish.
