Deepseek is using preexisting technology and found a way to do it more efficiently since China doesn't have access to our faster computing chips. It's open source so people can build and expand on it.. Its just a tool and we should want more options.. allowing only 3 or 4 AI tools in the market place creates a monopoly and allows for a steeper price structure for usage.
