It's kinda mind boggling that the way people cope w/ competition is rally behind protectionist agendas like unionizing and restricting immigration, when the data out there clearly shows that companies can and do now setup up offices internationally using the big tech high pay formula that worked so well in Silicon Valley. And you should look at the study ethics of upper/middle class asian kids, they're not messing around. One has to look at the industrial precedent: China gobbling up industrial infrastructure is yesterday's news, now they're building muscle to compete in the global stage for high tech stuff like semiconductors, and it's gotten to the point that it's making US leaders uncomfortable.
