Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. I'm a freelance translator myself, have been for 8 years now, and AI hasn't changed anything at all in my niche of the translation business (yet). The hype had some measure of psychological effect on the clients and language service providers, sure, but DeepL is **still** better than GPT-4 or any other LLM, and it has been around for a while now. Once LLMs reach better performances than DeepL, then yes, things will change. Freelance translating in early 2024 is the same as it was in 2020, in my experience.
