They aren't uploading photos. The age/gender estimate is done locally when the API fetches the content targeted to that age/gender demo. Since the API calls are logged, you then has a record that at x time someone fetched the video content that correlates to a man/woman of y age. That's data log exists but has no value other than later being able to say "Ok, this is the type of person who uses one of our machines." You aren't training anything with that.
