In my experience, doctor's exam/check up is not expensive. It's ER, surgery, treatments, tests that kill you financially (in the US). Anytime the hospital and multiple subcontractors wet their beaks, and then you get to play footsie with them and insurance, and/or go bankrupt trying.
So I'm not sure exactly where M$ expects to save money here. Maybe automating the interpretation of radiology images & test results?
