That’s because what we have today isn’t AI - it’s advanced automation at best. ‘Intelligence’ means it can create something of its own accord. All our current ‘AI’ systems do it repurpose existing things into 1 semi coherent thing. It’s like upgrading the tills at a checkout so it knows exactly what your putting on a scale by it’s weight and calling it AI - in reality it’s improved automation. We haven’t seen AI yet and I suspect it will always be 20 years away like nuclear fusion.
