Of course we can let AI take human jobs. Your arguments are the exact thing we heard against bringing computers into offices or heavy machinery to farmer, or cars to the public. Every advancement kills off old jobs. There's nothing special about this one besides from a lot of people affected by this thought they were immune to tech advancements. Although even that isn't special as that's true most of the time.
At no point in human history has humanity invented a useful tool and then just decided to ignore it and not use it.
